While at a resent concert my poor Hubby was getting hit on by a Cougar. Now old girl had a few years on her, which weren't very kind to her at all. I'm sorry I may not have the "perfect body". But at that age no one would ever catch me wearing a cropped top with my muffin top showing off, or should I say hanging out. Jeans that make sure that the muffin top is over lapping and the camel toe showing off so well. Even after he had told her that he was married and there with his wife, yours truly. Now I was having a good laugh at watching her try to get his attention. Funny as hell watching him just ignore her advances. At one point she had even told her friend that she was going for it. Meaning that she was going to continue to hitting on my Hubby. As soon as the main band had started to play, I had noticed that old girl was getting a little too touchy feely for my taste. When I saw her start rubbing his shoulder. I grabbed her hand while making sure that my thumb nail was digging into the soft part of her wrist. Making it known that it was fun while it lasted but I had had enough of her. She kept to herself after that.
But my dear Older Cougars please when a man tells you that he's married and he's out with her, stay the hell away. I just might be his wife and I don't take kindly to having anyone touch my husband.

Date Night
This past Friday hubby and I had gone out to dinner as a date night. We ended up going to a Chilies that's just down the road from where we live. As normal we waited until almost 9pm to leave the house figuring that the place won't be as crowded as a regular dinner time would be. Boy were we ever wrong on that one. Upon entering the establishment we noticed how packed the place was. Not even room at the small bar to have a drink while we wait for a table. The hostess informed us that there will be about a 30 minute wait for a table for 2. Which really has never happened to us before. But we waited any way with a pager to let us know that a table had opened up. Once our little pager went off we were shown our table which wasn't cleaned before we got there. Now we had a prime table located near the kitchen. What made this table even more special was the fact that both hubby and I were able to look right into the kitchen and the staff as well. The kitchen floor was littered with food which didn't surprised either of us. But what was shocking to us was the fact that the staff was unconcerned by it.
We also had a front row seat for some of the waiting staffs' spats. I was able to hear clear as a bell one waitress tell other and I quote "I wasn't talking about you so you can cut the diva act out now." Now most places as such that we have visited this is the first that I've ever witness the staff being so rude to each other. I also had the pleasure of seeing a young and I do mean young father being right out mean to his son. I'm not claiming to be a perfect parent but I will never sit there and eat a dessert in front of any of my children and say no you can't have any; it's for me and only me. Our server was in the kitchen waiting on a few orders that she had placed along with our's. I had witnessed her pick her teeth with her finger. Really really? When she saw me looking at her with a look of horror in my eyes. She quickly went to wash her hands. Thank you very much because I wasn't going to eat anything if she didn't. And yes that little act did affect her tip.
After we had eaten our dinner, we had asked for the check. We just couldn't wait to get the hell out of that place. Our waitress had said okay and that she'll be back soon with our check. Soon was about 10 to 15 minutes later. Luckily another server was able to bring our check in less time then what our waitress was able to. Another $1 gone from her tip. Needless to say we will never be visiting that place again. The food wasn't all that great and the service was even less. On a 1 to 10 that place gets a -5 from me.
We'll be sticking to our usual date night places. Friday's and Ale House. The food and the service is always great at these 2 places.

KIDS AND THEIR EARLY MORNINGS UP WAKE CALLS
Why is that kids will go to bed late and then turn around and be up at the crack of dawn? Then turn around and insist that you wake up as well. You crack one eye open and glare at them from that eye. A silent plead that they go back to bed and leave you the hell. But oh no they must have you up as well. Dragging yourself our of bed straight into the bathroom they must follow. Not giving a moment of peace until they are fed and even then they want your undivided attention. Thank God for that wonderful morning drink we call coffee. That frist cup will wake you and allow you to function in some from or another. The second cup gives you that get up and go.
But kids really need to learn that a well rested Mami is a happy Mami. But until then keep that coffee coming because that's how I will function until they leave me in bed.

MEN AND SOCKS
Ladies I don't know about your men, but mine wouldn't touch the pile of clean socks. He wouldn't fold or roll them and put them away. When it's my turn to do the laundry I hang up and fold all of the clothes. Unless if I'm on strike from everything. But when it's HubbyBear's turn he wouldn't touch those socks. He's hang up every shirt, even if it's a sleeping one. He'll fold and put away what should've been hung up and for some unknown reason will leaves clothes in both washer and dryer. Drives me crazy!!!!! But God forbid if I do something like that. Just like a man!!!!
So the last time he did the wash he had left all of the socks in the basket for me to do. When I had noticed that it was almost half way full and there was nothing in there but socks, I politely asked him why he didn't bother to do the sock and put them away? His answered was that he was saving them for me to do, I gave him that woman of color looked; you know the 1 ladies the 1 that says it all "WTF?; are you F'ing crazy; and my favorite of all what the fuck I look like? You're mother?" And yes the rolling of the eyes and the neck movement went along with it. Yes ladies I was rubber necking him. I did do the socks and waited until he laid down for his nap to start putting away our socks. Along with the banging of the draws just so he'll know haw upset I was about the whole thing. Next time I do the wash I'm so going to "forget" to wash his underwear until he has none and forget about folding and putting away his clothes as well.
Ladies remember that our form of vengeance is the worst that there is "Hell has no fury against a woman's scorned." So don't blow up in his face or start a fight just use the tools that you know you can use to teach him a lesson that will stick. LOL and remember to smile sweetly while you plot and plan........

Spending Time With A Teenager
Was spending time with our oldest, watching "Jane by design." Which was great by the way. I had asked her for a composition notebook. She had asked what did I want it for? When I had told her that I wanted so I could write down some of my ideas for my blog page. She just smiled and said "Mom you really don't have a life." Don't get it wrong she wasn't being malicious when she said it. Really can't get mad at her for doing exactly what we've raised her to do, which was to speak her mind. What makes it worst is that she's my clone in just about every way. So be forewarned there's another me running around.
Any way getting back to the main topic of this blog. I had explained why I had started this blog and where I would like to see it go and so on. I could tell that in her teenage eyes I still don't have a life. LOL she reminded me of me at her age. When I thought that I knew everything and that the "old folks" knew nothing. Oh how wrong was I about that matter.
She's the best kid that any parent would be proud to call their own and have. But she's still a teenager with a lot to learn on her way to adulthood. OMG! I have a 1 of those teenagers in my house now. Long gone is my sweet little girl and in her place there's a TEEN!

Kids and their messes
I was just cleaning up one of the rooms at home and thinking when the hell will these kids learn to keep it clean and neat? After making the bed, picking up and putting away their toys. Putting dirty clothes into the hamper. Folding and hanging up the clean ones, and so on. I'm beat! Yes this is what happens when you have little ones at home. But really how in the world can they make such a mess on a daily bases? Yes I do make them clean up after themselves but lets face it, kids will always do a half ass job when it's something that they don't want to do. Can't tell you how many times I've found everything either shoved under their bed or into their closet. My favorite is when I find plates, cups, wrappers in there. Oh the joy of those days! NOT!!!!!!!
For a while I didn't do a damn thing in that room. Would just go in once a month and clean it up from top to bottom. But then the mess would just keep getting bigger and bigger. So once a month turned into twice a month, then once a week. But when it got to every darn day that's when I hit the roof!!!! With them and their father. Told all three males that I've had it with cleaning up after them everyday especially that bedroom! So after that I informed the 2 youngest that if they didn't start picking up and putting away their toys after playing with them, I will consider it garbage that needed to be thrown out. As youngsters tend to do, they didn't believe me and paid me no mind. So the very next day I had asked them to clean up their mess right before dinner time. Once again they paid me no mind. So after dinner I went and got a trash bag walked into their room and started "cleaning up" my way. When they saw what I was doing the oldest of the 2 cried out "Mami no, not our toys, we'll put them away!" I stopped long enough to tell him "You better start putting them away before I can get to it." I've never seen that boy move so fast.
But ever since then I'll ask them to clean up their toys and put them away or if they want me to do my "special cleaning up"? They both run to get it done before I can do it for them. Oh and yes that 1st bag of toys was thrown into the garbage. Mean and heartless, I guess. But as I always tell all 3 of them I didn't see your maid follow you out when I gave birth to you. Yes I will help them clean up no I wouldn't do it for them every day. Sorry won't do it. (My oldest I don't have to worry about she learned that lesson a very long time ago.)
No one's going to take care of them once they leave the nest. Me teaching them the basics of taking care of themselves is the best thing I can do. And let's face it the modern woman was not raised to take care of grown ass men. They'll be lucky if she cleans and can cook. So I'm really doing my boys a major favor by making sure that they can clean, wash clothes and cook for themselves. Along side of making a living for themselves.

Mint Green No Nos
I was minding my own business when I saw a major fashion no no! A woman walked out of the store wearing a metallic silver blazer, a mint green dress, shimmery stocking and flip flops. Can we say major fashion fail? Anyone and everyone knows that anything metallic goes best with black and nothing else. Mint green goes better with like colors as in white or cream. Black works well with that color as well but only if you want the mint green to stand out more. As for the flip flops please keep those to the casual wear not fromal. I give her a -10 on the fashion fail!
Happy New Year
Good morning to most and a happy new year to all. It's funny how on the last day of the year we all make some kind of New Years resolution. I myself have made plenty of them through out the many years. I'm going to change this or that thing about myself or my life. Don't get me wrong they're a good thing if you can stick to them and make them come true. As for me not much. I tend to change so many things in my life all of the time. Some work great while others were just never meant to be. Those that work I keep up with it and those that don't I get rid of. Like I do with just about everything. Useful - keep. A waste a time and making my life a living hell - thrown out like yesterday's trash!!!!!! You know like the dead-beat muching friends/deadbeat boyfriends/baby-daddies, well you get the picture.
Perfect example, after I had my last baby who left me at a whopping 250 lbs; I made that old favorite NYR (New Year's Resolution). Told myself that I wanted to loss about 100 lbs for that summer. Didn't happen as we all already know. By that summer I was still at 250 so I said whatever. But here's the funny thing. I did what many of us do, made that NYR and that was that. I didn't put in the hard work that it would have made that NYR work for me. When I came to that realization I said to myself "well that was a complete waste of my time. Why did I make a NYR that I wasn't going to do anything to follow it up?"
The following year the only NYR that I made was not to make any more NYR. That year I had lost almost 100 lbs. Started walking more (not only at work but also around the area I live in.) Started eating a little healthier. I was not about to give up some of my favorite things. So this lady without her morning cup of cafe is not to be dealt with. My chocolate? Hell not that's not going anywhere either. Before I give some of those things up World Peace better happen.
So keep making those NYR's if you can stick to them. But remember to do the work that they require to come true. Wishing and hoping that it will come true dosen't work, unless you're doing the hard work to go alone with the wishing and that hoping.
